Do you want to make a big fuss about your little one’s birthday this year? Does your princess deserve the best possible gifts and experiences? You’ll have to start planning soon if their birthday is this side of Christmas because there isn’t much time. Making the right arrangements and finding the best presents isn’t always straightforward. If you want to make sure they are filled with joy for the entire day, now is the time to create your plan. The ideas on this page might help.
Choosing the best gifts
In the eyes of your little princess, their birthday party does not count as a gift. That means you still need to find some great items they’re going to love. Princess dolls are often a top choice for little girls for the obvious reasons. However, you should also invest in a new fairy costume for your bundle of joy. She will love prancing around in front of all her guests, casting spells and being the centre of attention. If you need to find more present ideas, just visit your local high-street and see what’s on the shelves.
Booking the party venue
Lots of people choose to host their children’s birthday parties at home. They think it saves money and helps to create a more relaxed atmosphere. However, that isn’t usually the case. You’ll spend a lot of cash buying food for everyone, and you’ll also have to clean up after them. Do yourself a favour and find a good kid’s party venue in the local area. You are sure to find somewhere with ball pools and slides that will keep them entertained. In most instances, you can also pay for reasonably-priced catering packages. So, you can leave all the hard work to someone else.
Sending the invites
People are usually very busy at this time of the year. So, it makes sense to send your invites out as early as possible. That will give everyone a chance to change their plans and turn up on the big day. If your little princess has started school, you’ll probably want to invite all her classmates. Likewise, those attending nursery should do the same thing. It’s important that you make sure lots of other children come to the party you arrange. Your daughter is not going to have an amazing time if she spends all day with adults. We are far too old and boring.
Arranging the entertainment
You have a lot of choices when it comes to arranging the entertainment for your daughter’s birthday party. Some kids like clowns; others think they are the scariest thing in the world. Just use your judgement. At the end of the day, you are the parent, and so you should have a good idea about what they would like best. Again, make your booking early because children’s entertainers are in high demand.
I hope this guide helped you to get everything sorted in time for the big day. Don’t worry too much if things don’t go to plan because your little princess should have an amazing time regardless. Just make sure you spend the entire day together and let her know how much you love her. When all’s said and done, that’s all kids want.

A good guide for planning a girly birthday party. I’m quite lucky. My eldest has just turned two so I can still get away with a few nibbles at home but next year we’ll be looking at a proper party. I think I’ll take your advice and not do it at home.
My 15 year old daughter has only ever had one birthday party and it was the most stressful experience I have ever had. I had a plan but it didn’t work out, people didn’t turn up who said they would and my daughter was a little minx.
Having said all that, this is a great guide for someone planning a party.
It is hard when people don’t R.S.V.P. or if they say they are coming and then they don’t. x
This is a great guide. Having organised quite a few birthday parties now, I totally agree with what you say about having it at home. It doesn’t work out any cheaper and is a lot more stressful!
I used to have my daughter’s at home and I hated the mess it created! We’d be tidying things away for weeks. If you hire somewhere you have to tidy up on the day. 🙂
I have tried parties at home and booked venues infact I have 7 teen girls here as I type this for a birthday sleep over! I love a good kids party!
I love party planning. When I have children in the future, I think I’ll get really into the planning. Your tips will come in so handy! xxx
I have got to the point, where, I don’t really want to do parties. The kids never want to eat, they just want to run around in circles. Easiest parties are hire a church hall, get a bouncy castle or an circus entertainer, that keeps the kids happy. Make sure you have a few arts and crafts stuff, and order takeaway pizza, and supply carrot and Cucumber sticks. Job done.
I did a pirate party once. I had a bouncy castle, loads of treasure box making and colouring in pirates. Loads of inflatables….. Trees, monkeys, parrots, punch pirates, crocodiles the kids loved it and all left a complete sweaty mess. Hahahahha
