Last week my husband booked some time off work and we decided to go away for the night. We looked into where we could go and tried to find somewhere that Bob would enjoy. I said that we needed a Disney hotel in this country but I never thought that we would get it.
When my husband suggested Alton Towers I immediately thought that Bob would be too young. When I looked on the Internet I found out that the theme park (which Bob was too young for) was closed but the hotels and the water park were open and they were perfect!
As it is out of season they had special offers on and we got a great deal. They hotel looked great but what sold it for me were the themed rooms. One was Peter Rabbits house! That’s where we decided to stay. It was amazing!!! As you walked in the room it was like being in a wood with trees and everything! You then walked into the burrow! The bathroom was even in keeping with the theme. It was Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s washroom!!! ;0)
The water park was brilliant too and in the evening there was entertainment. Bob loved the magician and I was surprised at how well she sat with the other children. We will definitely go back! I want to go every year. The question is where will we stay next? The Tatty Teddy Room, The Ice Age Room or the Chocolate Room!!!
Guess which I would stay in? It sounds brill – will tell Matt, Nat and Jacob. When does their busy season begin? xx
Think it starts at the beginning o the Easter Holidays. Would you be in the Chocolate Room by any chance? There are others too but they were my favourites. ;0) x
Wow that room looks amazing I’d love to stay there! It’s great to hear about the water park we’ve never been there. We took our 2 year old to Alton Towers in the half term when it opened for a bit and there was actually quite a bit for her there, we really enjoyed it! xx
That’s good to know. Don’t have to wait as long as I thought to take Bob to the theme park! :0)
That looks ace :0) xx
This is AMAZING!! I am going to have to find out where Alton Towers is. Please tell me it is reasonable??!x
It’s in Staffordshire. Out of season you can get rooms from £50 a night. The hotels are lovely and there is free entertainment included. When we were there they had a magician and a singer. The have a website with lots of info on. http://www.altontowers.com/ Anybody would think that this was a sponsored post. It’s not, it’s just fab! x
I love love love Alton Towers but didn’t realise they had rooms that catered to really young children. I am going in April to the park but we are just going for the day. It is such a great place, so much fun to be had! x
Can’t wait until Bob is old enough to go to the park! How exciting! ;0) x
The whole hotel/themed rooms look amazing. How old is Bob? My little one is 17 months now and I’m wondering whether he’d appreciate a night there when we’re back in the UK in July. I know I would 🙂
She’s nearly 10 months. Think it would be perfect for your little one. Especially out of season as there’s lots of young children. Bob lived sitting with them all (and me) to watch the magician. :0)
wow that looks fantastic! I am deff off to check out the chocolate room! 😉 xxx
