Since Bob came along I seem to forget everything that I need to do for myself. I have been meaning to pick up my prescription and my Mat B1 form for weeks but I just keep forgetting. Luckily I had a spare inhaler otherwise I would be in trouble.
It took me forever to get my hair cut and it was only a few weeks ago when my reflection started to scare me that I booked an appointment. I found a photo taken just after my last trip to the hair dresses. This was dated November!
I also need to register with a local dentist and I am desperate for an eye test.
I have been a bit useless since I have had to wear glasses. I am always forgetting them and keeping up with regular eye tests seems impossible. Luckily I can still see without my glasses. I have an astigmatism and I only need my glasses for driving at night and trying to read the White text on the blue background on sky. I should also wear them when I am working on the computer but I rarely do. If I have had a lot of work to do I usually end up with a terrible headache. If I wore my glasses this wouldn’t happen.
I know that I am due an eye test as my eyes have got worse. If I am tired and I am trying to find a programme on the sky box I can’t read a word. The text is even blurry when I remember to wear my glasses so it is definitely time for some new ones.
As well as not being able to find the time, I also tend to avoid eye tests because of past experience. A well known company (who shall remain nameless) used to send me letters about check ups very regularly. I had only had my glasses for a short amount of time and they were working perfectly. I used to make an appointment as it was all new to me and I was unsure of what was needed.
Every time I went for a check up it was decided that I needed new glasses, even though I was sure I didn’t. I was convinced they were just out to make money and I worried if I kept getting stronger glasses regularly I would soon be unable to see without them.
I think it is important to find an opticians you can trust! I was reading this article about Optical Express and I think I will go there for my next appointment. They have been in business for over 20 years and have many good reviews.
