I always buy the family ‘Christmas Eve’ pyjamas too. We sit huddled in front of the fire with some chocolate and a lovely cup of tea. Can’t beat it. 🙂

We have graduated to a special meal on Christmas Eve to begin the celebrations. New pyjamas , sort Santa’s tray and hang the stockings. The children are in bed and asleep – the adults have a port and fill the stockings. Midnight carol service if there is time!

Well there’s 2. We all get together at Christmas. Sister and brother-in-law live in the USA so we don’t see them very often. Reminds of the years when there were 13 of us all for Christmas dinner at my grandparents house which meant we had dinner in 2 sittings. Also if you didn’t arrive at the same time, we had to wait for the other presents until after dinner. My second one is I ALWAYS get a book at Christmas. Used to get an annual every year but still the tradition is kept up by my parents now.

I love making marzipan fruits with my mum! We mould the marzipan and then paint them with food colouring putting clove sin as the stalks!

Every Christmas eve I bath my children early, then we all get pus on, cuddle up on the sofa and watch a movie with a takeaway, then they go to bed and Santa does his magic xXx

My dad always hands out ‘After Christmas Presents’ a few days after Christmas – it softened the blow when, as kids, we realised there were no more presents!
My favourite Christmas tradition is baking and decorating Gingerbread men with my sisters and children the week before Christmas whilst drinking wine and listening to Christmas tunes.

our family Christmas tradition is all going to our local pub for an hour as an entire family, cousins, aunties, uncles, we all come together for that hour and have a good catch up as some of us live far away and don’t see each other enough.

we always follow the superstition to eat as many mince pies as possible through Christmas eve and christmas day (Not too many before our wonderful dinner though) , because the number you eat determines how much luck you will have in the next year.You musnt t cut them with a knife either but bite into them or you will cut your luck.! we bake loads and eat loads!!!
I love the shopping trip I do every Christmas Eve – I go somewhere I wouldn’t normally, admire the lights and soak up the atmosphere, do my last minute shopping, have lunch out and then head home to wrap the last minute bits 🙂
