Don’t panic, I am not pregnant again! 🙂 I am just catching up and giving myself a chance to get over the trauma of childbirth before writing about it.
37 weeks pregnant – Our baby is the size of a stick of celery
This week’s fruit or vegetable should be either a winter melon or Swiss chard. I was struggling to find either of these but as I had 2 options that I could have used for 36 weeks I stole celery for this week. Ssshhh, don’t tell anyone. 🙂
Bob was not a fan of celery! This photo made me smile almost as much as the one that I captured when she tasted avocado. 🙂
At 37 weeks our baby is classed as full term and he is gaining around 1/2 an ounce everyday!

I find this really interesting to see how big a baby is while growing inside x
I always find celery has an odd taste 😉 hope your doing OK after the birth. x
I was ALWAYS doing this when pregnant. I would spend ages in the fruit and veg section picking up the fruit I was meant to be at for that week. It was scary towards the end.
To be honest I was never relaxed enough about being pregnant to spend time on fruit and veg analogies. Just the fact the babies were growing healthily was enough.
i hate celery, I think it’s the worst vegetable in the world
I’ve always hated celery, I know it takes more calories to consume it than it’s worth but yuck I don’t enjoy it at all.
Loving your size/pregnancy posts 🙂 x
I think this is such a unique idea comparing your baby to a vegetable or fruit love it!
This was so interesting to read! I had no idea how big a baby was at this stage of pregnancy!
Oh my goodness Charlotte!
Time is flying by 😀 Not long to go now.
By the way I’ve not heard of a winter melon or Swiss chard either but they sound like fun LOL
Charlotte x
He is actually already here. 🙂 I am just catching up with pregnancy post as I didn’t get chance to publish them all. xx
I think this is a brilliant way of helping others understand the size of a baby.
Really wish I liked celery as its great to dip into hummus, etc but I just cant get away with the taste of it! xxx
When I first saw celery stick I thought you meant your baby was really small but looking at the photo, celery is actually pretty long!!
Phew, you really had me worried there. I think it’s a great idea to try and think of what size your baby is, it’s such a hard concept to get your head round I think
All I could think of after seeing the word celery was ‘yuck!’ can’t stand it. Good relation to baby size though.
I used to love reading about what fruit or vegetable my babies were the size of when I was pregnant!
