About a year ago my mum found an old Sooty DVD on a car boot sale. Although the DVD was modern the show was from the 70’s.
Bob absolutely loved it and watched it over and over again. It was filmed in a school and Matthew stood in front of the children with a little box and the puppets. It was very simple but Bob was obsessed with it.
It was very dated and not very politically correct. At one point Matthew asks the children to pick a job for a woman and apparently the only thing that women can do as a job is typing or baking a cake.
When I was contacted asking if Bob would like to review the brand new Sooty Fun To Learn ABC DVD that was released on the 2nd of March I thought it was a fabulous opportunity to replace old for new.
I worried that Bob might not like the new DVD as much as her old favourite as it was bound to be very different but I needn’t have worried. When it arrived she squealed with delight!
It arrived 2 days ago and I have already lost count of the number of times Bob has ask for it to be played.
I like the show too as it is educational. The DVD is about learning your ABC. Not only do the characters discuss the letter names, they also talk about the sounds the letter makes and they find objects that begin with that letter.
The DVD also includes an ABC poster and 3 classic Sooty episodes.
I have a copy of the DVD to giveaway and there are many ways to enter using the Rafflecopter below.
We were sent the DVD free of charge for the purpose of this review but all photographs and opinions are our own.
