I may have mentioned before that our local town is lovely if you want to buy trinkets and eat cake. If there is something that you need though it is not very good. Nowhere in Skipton sells maternity clothes!
I went to get measured for a new bra a couple of months ago and although the larger size was more comfortable I knew that a maternity bra would be much comfier! I tend to favour wired t-shirt style bras. I like to feel as if I am wearing a bra and haven’t just got a flimsy piece of fabric over my nipples. The sales assistant tried to put me in an unwired, unshaped bra as she insisted it would be more comfortable but I hated it!
When I was asked if I would like to review a maternity/nursing bra from hotmilk my prayers were answered! Hotmilk have a large variety of maternity bras including wired, t-shirt bras! See! Just because I am pregnant doesn’t mean I have to be frumpy! In the end I chose the Forever Yours Nursing Bra in nude so I could wear it with everything.
I had never thought about shopping for a bra online as I thought it would be better to try one on. I wasn’t sure I trusted my measurements but I sent them off and hoped for the best.
When the bra arrived I was really impressed with the quality! It has a good shape and the material is thick yet comfortable. It has clasps at the top of each cup for nursing and a polka dot lining just in case anyone catches a glimpse. 🙂
What really impressed me was the hook and eye fastenings at the back. Every bra that I have seen has 3 sets of hook and eyes. This bra has 6 sets to allow you to achieve the perfect fit.
As soon as I opened the parcel I put the bra on. I have been so uncomfortable for weeks and I couldn’t wait to try it. Finally I could breathe again! The bra offers plenty of support without being uncomfortable. I have worn it almost every day since it arrived. The only time it gets a break is when it’s in the washing machine.
Bob likes to get involved with reviews. When she saw me putting on the bra she asked, ‘Are you wearing your new bra?’ I said yes and she questioned, ‘Is it too tight?’ I told her it wasn’t and she exclaimed, ‘Then it’s perfect!’ She will make a great journalist one day! 🙂
Thanks hotmilk! I am now much comfier and it will make things a lot easier when our new addition arrives.
