I heard about the Lost My Name book recently. My friend had her daughter christened and she ended up receiving 3 copies of this wonderful book.
I don’t think this book was around when Bob was a baby, otherwise I am sure I would have heard of it.
The book follows a child who has lost their name in their journey to find it. On their way they meet various things that start with a letter of their name.
When I was contacted asking if I would like to review a copy of The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name I couldn’t wait to read Bob’s version. Obviously Bob isn’t my daughter’s real name. The story would have been quite short if it was.
Even the packaging of the book is exciting!
When we started reading the story I wished that I had named her a really long name so that this beautiful story would last forever!
Bob loved reading this book! When the girl in the story found the first letter and Bob saw the letter M written in the book she looked at me. I could almost see the light bulb switched on in her head. She realised that we were looking for her name and couldn’t wait to see how we found it.
When Bob’s daddy arrived home she showed him the book straight away. She was really proud of it! We have had the book for over a week now and it has been Bob’s bedtime story choice every evening.
It really is a special book and it would make a lovely gift for someone! I am quite tempted to order one for myself! Charlotte is quite a long name so my story would be exciting!
Disclaimer: We were sent the book free of charge for the purpose of this review but all opinions and photographs are our own.
My Kitty’s real name is pretty long – too long to fit on more personalised things so I’m tempted to get her one just to see if they can fit it all in!!
We have reviewed these books – they’re so well-thought out and beautiful, the boys love them. They really are a special treasure 🙂
ha ha I see you writing a future post about how to name your child and the first point being “pick a really long name so that you get your money worth when ordering books about your child’s name”
Boo has this book, it’s so lovely. And I think she will appreciate it all the more when she gets a bit older. It’s such a great idea =)
