I have been meaning to buy a laminator for quite some time. There were so many resources and games that I wanted to make for Bob. Even though I still haven’t returned to finish my PGCE I think the primary school teacher is still in me somewhere.

When I was asked by Fellowes If I would like to use their Ideas Centre I got very excited! They sent me a laminator and pointed me in the direction of their resources. I thought that I might make a lotto game or some flash cards but when I started looking through there ideas I realised that the possibilities were endless!

Laminator

I have always thought of educational materials I didn’t realise that you could make toys using a laminator.

The first thing that caught my eye was a dress up doll idea. I loved these as a child and wanted to share the fun with Bob. I found a beautiful old fashioned doll here and I printed it out and started cutting. I even found cutting out quite therapeutic. It is much more relaxing when you don’t have to cut out 30 of the same thing. 😉

I laminated the doll and I couldn’t wait to dress her up. Obviously for Bob! 😉

Bob loved her and played with her for ages. She even put on a little stage show.

The next thing that I couldn’t wait to make was a windmill! I have never thought about making a windmill and I couldn’t wait to see the finished result. I downloaded a backing paper from here and printed it out double sided. I then used the template from the ideas centre to cut out the shape.

When the shape was laminated I had great fun assembling the windmill.

I love how it turned out and I want to make lots of them for Bob’s fairy party next year. I am getting far too excited about this party ! It isn’t Bob’s birthday until May. 🙂

Blow

I love my new laminator and I know it will get a lot of use!

Disclaimer : I was sent the laminator free of charge for the purpose of this post but all excitement, opinions & photographs are my own.
