On Friday my gorgeous baby girl turned one! I am not sure where this last year has gone! You would think that it would have gone slowly, as there have been many more waking hours in the day since Bob arrived, but it has passed in a heartbeat!
Bob was a little under the weather on Friday so we had quite a relaxing day. We played with her new toys, did some last minute preparation for her party on Saturday and waited for her Grandma and Granddad to arrive. She loved her Hello Kitty house and her sand and water tray. Luckily the weather was lovely so it didn’t matter that she preferred to throw the water over her head rather than keep it in the tray. 😉
We had tea in the garden and we even practised blowing out the candle on a cupcake! 🙂
Friday night Bob was very unsettled as I mentioned in Terrible Twosday. She was so tired but every time she tried to sleep her nasty cough kept waking her up. On Saturday we were all exhausted! We still had the party and Bob really enjoyed it but I can’t help thinking of how it would have been if she had been her normal happy self. She loved seeing everybody and enjoyed playing with all of her friends but every time she saw me she got upset. I think that we all want our mum’s when we are unwell. Luckily I was just tired otherwise my mum would have been very hot with me sat on her knee in this weather! 😉
We still managed to have a lovely day. We were blessed with the weather, surrounded by our family and close friends and there was cake! I didn’t take many photographs during the party as I was a bit busy but luckily my fabulous friend Emily had her camera at the ready. I will share some of her images with you later. I did, however, manage to take some photos as we were setting up! There was knitted food, handmade teddy bears, fabric tea sets and did I mention that there was cake? Watch this space!
My little girl is one! I still can’t believe it! My husband worried me the other day, saying that we only had seventeen times what we have already experienced left before she is an adult. I didn’t like that thought! I think that one is quite old enough and she can stop growing up now!
Happy Wednesday. x
Happy birthday Bob! Hope she’s feeling better now. It looks like you had a fab weekend.
Aww, lovely pictures! Happy Birthday Bob for Saturday :).
My little girl was exactly the same on her 1st Birthday. She wasn’t unwell as such but she definitely wasn’t herself. Resulted in a very clingy and upset little girl, but I think she enjoyed most of it.
PS: I am in LOVE with that Hello Kitty house, do you think Bob would mind if I moved in?
Thank you. Not at all! She would love a house mate! :o) x
I love your photos but I couldn’t read the text because the font doesn’t display well on my screen. 🙁
Oh no! I wonder why that is. I will look into it.
Oh, that’s much better now! The old font came out very pale and faint but now I can read the words too. 🙂
Glad it is better. Thank you so much for pointing it out! x
Aw, sounds like you managed to have a fab ole time in spite of the coughing! I wish my daughter would stop growing up so fast too, I had no idea how quickly it would all whizz past!
I can’t believe it! They’ll be 18 before we know it! :0( c
looks like you had a fab time despite her being under the weather. My little girl would love that house, what a lucky lady! xxx
