So your little one is becoming more and more independent each day, enough to feel comfortable in their own company, playing their own games and relaxing in their own living space, leaving you with a little time to get some of the household chores done or just to kick back and enjoy some quiet time yourself; until lunchtime arrives!
While your little one is doing their own thing, the likelihood is that you will want to make it as comfortable as possible so that they fully enjoy the space they are living in and use it to its true potential.
Enter the beanbag!
No, we haven’t gone mad! We actually do mean a beanbag. A piece of furniture that can truly benefit you and your little one in a variety of different ways and so here’s a little bit more information to explain how.
Emergency chairs!
So you’ve got the sofas and armchairs in the living room currently being taken up by the adults, with the little ones resigned to the rug when there’s not enough room for the adults to sit.
Enter the beanbag!
A great portable piece of furniture that they can comfortably claim as their own and better still, no adult will be able to fit in it if it’s specifically a children’s beanbag, meaning your child gets their own chair so that they can sit comfortably and join in on the socialising.
Study time
Sometimes, getting your child to sit and study or finish their homework can be a challenge, especially when their favourite programme is about to start on television. If they really aren’t in the mood it is likely that they will make every excuse under the sun as to why they can’t do their homework and often, you aren’t able to keep tabs on where they are up to the older they get.
Enter the beanbag!
Okay so a beanbag can’t do the work for them and okay, it’s not exactly the godsend you are looking for, but it can make homework/study time a little more comfortable and enjoyable if they are sat in a relaxing environment, which can be created with a comfy beanbag and small child’s table for them to sit at when finishing/doing their work. The beauty of this is that you can have them sit in front of you or near you, while you are busy doing other work or household chores so that you can keep an eye on where they are up to and whether they are actually doing the work.
Accessories for their bedroom/playroom
Kids are great at jumping from one interest to the next and so if they are wanting you to fork out on new bedroom furniture and decorative features, every time that interest changes, it is likely that you are going to be spending a lot of time and a lot of money in doing so.
Enter the beanbag!
Okay so the beanbag filling isn’t going to be 100 dollar bills (sadly), but it will most definitely play a great piece of stylish and practical furniture in your child’s bedroom that suits their taste and latest interest. There are so many different styles available online too. For example, if your child is in love with everything to do with princesses and fairytales; yet their favourite princess changes from one week to the next, you could purchase a princess themed beanbag that doesn’t specify just one particular princess. Or, if they are a big fan of animals but like all different types, you could buy a jungle themed beanbag that features all types of animals instead. The choices are endless!
And if you really can’t keep up with their interests, you might want to just get a plain coloured beanbag and have their name written onto the side so that it can fit with whatever interest comes their way.
