Last week we had a wonderful holiday at Bluestone National Park in Wales. Our friend Kiney came too. It took us over 5 hours to get there but it was well worth the trip!
We had a wonderful lodge called the Caldey Connect. It was two lodges in fact with an interconnecting door. This meant that Bob didn’t disturb Kiney in the morning and it would be a perfect lodge for 2 families on holiday together.
A travel cot and a high chair were supplied in each half of the lodge for young children. Bob had a wonderful time playing with her dolls and the high chair. Her favourite game at the moment is ‘Mummies, babies and big sisters.’ 🙂
After we unpacked Michael took the car back to the car park and he returned with this.
He was like a little boy at Christmas! The cart cost £80 to hire for the duration of our holiday and it was worth every penny! Journeys to and from activities and fun were an adventure in themselves!
Although Bob can run for miles when she is having fun, the minute she is required to walk somewhere that we need to go she is suddenly far too tired and Michael ends up carrying her on his shoulders. The buggy meant that we could get to places minus the tears and sore shoulders.
Bob had an amazing time on holiday! She spent all day having so much fun until she passed out in the evening. She would wake up in the morning with a plan. ‘Mummy, first we will go and see Lola the Ladybird, then we will go on a fairy hunt and then we will go swimming.’ She was so excited!
I have so many photos and experiences to share with you over the next few weeks. Watch this space!
Disclaimer: We were given a lodge at Bluestone for free but we paid for the activities and extras ourselves.
Sounds lovely, looks like you all had a fab time!
we made our first visit in February, totally brilliant location with little ones. E is Bob’s age – his favourite was the lego wall in the Activity Centre!
