We were recently invited to try the new Autumn menu at Brewers Fayre. We love Brewers Fayre and regularly visit our local one. Throughout my pregnancy I became obsessed with the corn dogs that they serve on Wednesday night’s Chef Counter.

Visiting Brewers Fayre is always a relaxed evening out as Bob loves the play area which gives us time to think. I was not sure what it would be like this time with our new addition but luckily he was a little angel and he slept throughout the meal.

The new menu still has the old favourites but it also has some new additions including an impressive curry section.

They also still have the daytime value menu which is a bargain! You get 2 starters for £2.50, 2 mains for £10.99 and 2 desserts for £2.50.

Bob loves the kids menu and she chose tomato soup, chicken pops, mash potato and beans and dipping doughnuts. I don’t think there has been a time when we have been to Brewers Fayre and Bob has not chosen the doughnuts. 🙂

We had the daytime value menu. Michael’s parents were visiting so we had 4 picky starters to share between us and then we each had a main course.

I had smothered chicken, Michael and his mum had chicken tikka masala and his dad chose gammon. I love chicken tikka masala but I still think I can’t have it as it disagreed with me when I was pregnant. It’s hard to think that it wouldn’t do the same now but I know I would be fine. When their meal arrived I was very jealous as it looked delicious!

Luckily mine looked yummy too.

When it was time for pudding Michael’s dad didn’t want anything. As they are 2 for £2.50 it seemed silly to buy 1 for £3.99. We had to get 4 between 3 of us. 🙂 It’s a hard life! I love their Caramel Apple Betty! Michael’s mum chose the same and Michael chose profiteroles.

We then had a chocolate brownie to share between us. 🙂

We all had a lovely meal and there wasn’t much left at the end of it which is a good sign!

As well as the new menu they also had autumn themed colouring and activities and each child receives a free Beano comic which Bob loved.

I am already looking forward to our next visit!
