This post has been sitting in my drafts folder for months! I had completely forgotten about it. As summer has finally arrived (I hope I’m not speaking too soon!) Bob and I have been visiting our playground again. This is what reminded me that I had never published this post.

It was lovely to see how much more enjoyment Bob got out of the park, now that she is older. I took some lovely photos and I thought that I would share them at the same time at as this post. I can’t believe how much she has grown!

Original Post

We live in a tiny village. In fact I don’t think you can call it a village, as there isn’t a pub or a shop, it’s more of a hamlet. Don’t worry; we are walking distance to the next village where there is a pub!

We have a little playground but, as there are only a few children here, it has been neglected. That was until recently. In the past few weeks it has had a makeover! Bob and I went to visit it the other day and it’s fab! They have cleaned up the old rides, added some new ones and put squishy matting on the floor. They must have heard that I am accident-prone!

As the few children that do live here are at school, in the week, it is like we have our own private playground!

New Photographs

Bob had a fantastic time at the park today! Now that she is walking she is much more confident! Soft play has also helped with this. She would happily hurtle herself down a slide head first if I wasn’t there to stop her! I was worried that I might have over estimated her confidence today. I sat her at the top of the slide and allowed her to go down it unaided. She went so fast she flew off the end and landed with a bump. Worried that I had put her off for life, I rushed over too her. Bob jumped up, ran over to the slide and shouted ‘That, that, that!’ She loved it and wanted to slide again and again!

I wish that I had taken my camera, as this would have made a fabulous moving picture! Unfortunately I only had my phone with me, which won’t take shots as quickly.

Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine!!! x

What a difference a few months makes when they are young! She has grown so much since the first photos. Your hamlet sounds delightful and how lucky to have that playground and almost to yourself! Thank you for joining me on Country Kids

Gorgeous photos. And it is amazing how much their enjoyment of playgrounds gets bigger; we used to be all about the swings and not a lot else but now a visit to the park is a proper adventure. X

Oh the joy of the park!

We’re really lucky to have numerous Parks within walking distance, all recently upgraded by Trafford Council (no wonder they’re claiming poverty!?)

Lovely photos, now which park shall we go to today 🙂
