Bob has been going to ballet lessons since January and she loves it! She has already moved up 2 classes and when her lessons start again in the summer she will be in a class that will take part in the dance shows. She cannot wait!

She has been asking if she can go to tap lessons for several months. I told her if she continued with her ballet lessons and still enjoyed them that she could also start tap lesson in September. She has continued with her lessons and she loves them more each week so she will be going to a taster tap class on the 19th of September.

I think it is the uniform that Bob is most excited about. For the tap lessons the children wear black dance leggings and a brightly coloured leotard. Bob has been yearning for a bright leotard of her own for a long time! She already knows what colour she would like. She has said, ‘I would like a purple leotard because pink and purple are my favourite colours but I don’t want pink as my ballet uniform is pink.’ That’s good logic as she wouldn’t want to get them mixed up. 🙂

When we were asked if we would like to review some products from Dance Depot I knew exactly what we needed. They have a great website with some fantastic costumes! Unfortunately Bob has to get her uniform from her dance school but I knew she would love some tap shoes. Usually when they attend the tap taster class they don’t wear tap shoes but Bob will be ready to go from day one!

Dance Depot sell a variety of tap shoes to suit all budgets. I got excited looking at the split sole ones that I used to wear but I knew these would be no good for Bob. In the end I chose the Marylin Tie Up shoes. Bob only need toe taps to begin with and I thought the canvas ones would be more comfortable for her.

Taps

When the parcel arrived I knew what it contained so I let Bob open it. When she saw the tap shoes she was over the moon! ‘Does this mean I can go to tap lessons?’ she asked.

New-Dance-Shoes

She put her new shoes immediately and attempted to tap dance. I think the lessons will help! 🙂

Tap-Dancing

The new shoes fit her perfectly and she said they were very comfortable.

Dance Depot also sent Bob a new dance bag. Her current one isn’t great but it did the job. Her new one is perfect!

Presents-For-Dancers

Bob loved it straight away and didn’t waste any time in transferring her things into her new bag.

Packing-Her-Dance-Bag

The bag is gorgeous! It has ribbon and diamanté details and it also has little heart zippers. It’s adorable!

New-Dance-Bag

I didn’t realise when I chose the bag that it had 2 separate compartments. It has the main section and a little boot bag section at the bottom. This is great for keeping the tap shoes away from Bob’s dance uniform and means that they can’t catch her tutu and damage it. I am not fully sure if that’s what the pocket is intended for but it does a fabulous job!

Tiny-Dancer

I am looking forward to Bob going to her first tap class! I hope she enjoys it as much as she enjoys ballet. Tap has always been my favourite!
