We had a wonderful holiday in Majorca which I promise I will tell you all about soon! I am so far behind at the moment!
The journey home however was not as enjoyable. The flight time was horrendous but the price difference to travel at a reasonable time was crazy. Flying through the night was the only way we could afford to do it.
We should have been picked up from the hotel just after midnight but our transfer forgot to collect us! We waited about 20 minutes and then called the 24 hour contact number for our rep. At first they were adamant that the bus had been but we had been in reception for hours and the receptionist confirmed that it hadn’t turned up. They sent us a taxi and, after a mad dash through the airport, we made it onto our flight with moments to spare.
After a 2 and a half hour flight, a bus journey to the car park and a 90 minute drive we got home at about 8am. Luckily Bob slept most of the way home but Michael and I were exhausted!
Just as we were settling in our neighbour popped round with a parcel for us. It was from House of Fraser and it contained a selection of toys for us to review. This parcel was a life saver!
The first item was a Play Doh Sweet Shop. Bob couldn’t wait to play with it!
The Sweet Shop was easy to assemble and Bob helped to set it up.
It has a central ice cream maker that fills up cones and sundae dishes when you press on the yellow handle.
You can then put your creations on the stands whilst you decorate them.
There are various shapes all over the sweet shop which you can use to make toppings for your ice creams.
The Sweet Shop kept Bob entertained for ages whilst we snoozed on the sofa.
Please excuse Bob’s tired, unkept look and the fact that she is still wearing her all inclusive wrist band. 🙂
House of Fraser also sent Bob a princess watch. She is now able to recognise numbers and I have been meaning to get her a digital watch for a while. Bob loved it and felt really grown up!
The watch was quite tricky to set the time and the date but this may have been due to lack of sleep. I can’t wait to teach Bob how to tell the time!
They also sent a gift for our new addition. Bob’s baby brother is due to arrive next month and we have been busy preparing his nursery. We decided on a jungle theme (watch this space) and House of Fraser sent us a Lullaby Lion which will be a perfect addition!
He is really cute and when you pull his tail he plays a lullaby. Bob loved him and I was very impressed with it’s lullaby effects! She listened to the lullaby twice before falling fast asleep. I know she was tired from our journey home but this has to be a record!
Disclaimer: We were sent the toys free of charge for the purpose of this post but all opinions and photographs are our own.
